Personal Brand: Be Consistent

As a #physician seeking to expand your #employment opportunities or #network, you are essentially a “solopreneur”: a business where the services offered are your skills. Every business needs to differentiate or “#brand” itself to attract the right people or clients matched to your services.

Successful professional #storytelling requires being consistent. This is the 4th aspect of storytelling on this list: https://lnkd.in/eK79G6bA

#Consistency means people begin to associate the same thing with you or your #personalbrand. This is also a way to generate referrals, attract recruiters, gain clients for non-clinical work.

Think of the parallel in #clinical work. Within surgical fields one surgeon may be higher volume for a certain procedure, therefore is more trusted to perform it. As a result, that surgeon garners more patient referrals. Also, based on reputation that surgeon may be as invitated to give Grand Rounds or talks.

The same holds true for non-clinical work. What is your differentiator? What do people associate with you? On which content areas are you trusted or respected?

In later posts we will examine your “power base.” Who is it that will help you generate those new career opportunities as you expand your career identity and personal brand?

“With a thoughtful brand #narrative, you build a level of credibility in an audience, then the task becomes showing its members how you'll solve their problems and change their lives for the better.” For the original of this post, go to our LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6987727366034751488
