Who tells your story? Part 9 of the article by Goldie Chan on the Golden Rules Of Personal Branding focuses on telling your own story, and importantly, building a brand that allows others to tell your story as well, as “the best PR is by word of mouth.”


As a physician, you can build your brand in many ways, for example, through reviews by patients, presentations at lay and scientific meetings, and publications in scientific journals or social media platforms as well as less formal, but equally important, encounters you have every day. In an article by Andis Robeznieks, the author points to the value of physicians for “marketing their unique skills to potential patients, educating their communities about vital health issues, and connecting with colleagues for local and even global collaborative projects.”
